I've had my t-bird IV pro bass for a few year's and I wouldn't say it's the best Bass in my collection, but it definitely is my go to for playing a wide range of tones, but when I'm in the mood for a little metal, my esp ax 104 is my favorite bass in my collection.
It's heavy, it pounds and it take the beating I give it every time I play it.🤘

I've had two of these. Liked 'em way better than my Gibson Thunderbird. Well built and comfortable if you like a thick chunky neck. And it only cost $300.

From my personal experience, the Thunderbird bass has a killer tone, but although on paper the scale length is normal, the Thunderbirds neck feels incredibly long. If you're wanting to play fast, I would swap the neck on it, case and point: John Entwistle.

Great bass. I bought a second hand one and love it. I filed the nut out and restrung it BEAD and it works great. Only problem is neck dive so I made a bracket up and repositioned the front strap lock. Not great but a big improvement.
