It's a nice overview. My dream as a young man was to write for a living. I find your journey inspiring.

Just fantastic! There is a little overlap with my list but you have several additional points that I had not considered. I had not considered world building as a key factor in a good story. Makes perfect sense. 👏🏾👏🏾 I love the examples that you pulled in. Well done bro.

The approach a writer takes to world building is make or break for me. I have to understand enough about what's going on without it being a massive info dump on the front end. Great points, Brian.

Well done Brian. IMO just don’t be repetitive and it will go a long way. 👍👍

Great video and topic. You’re right with your points. Biggest for me honestly is the character growth and the writing making you form some kind of emotional attachment either to the story overall or the character. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day and upcoming weekend. Be well. 🤙

I agree with almost everything you said. Only item I disagree with is dialogue. I hate a book that has so few dialogue you’re done with it in a few min. Jeph Loebs Red Hulk run is a culprit of this. I think the right amount of dialogue won’t feel like a chore. Overall good video and I still want to hear about your process.

Spidey was a strong emotional connection for me in the comics. Even in the spidey cartoons.

Strong characters are an absolute key, and honestly a good strong villain. Especially for some of the super powered characters.

I am not sure what I would include, but I do know that I would make sure my hero didn't die. They have violated that thought a few times.

Hobgoblin was a great villian. His alias was a secret to readers. He was revealed too soon. Villian also needs to be relatable. Mr Freeze was a great villian: he stole diamonds for his suit and research to save his wife. Italian thief Diabolik has evaded police for decades and the same police inspector Kinko has been after him all this time. Hero is Kinko but people read the comic for the villian. Mysteries shouid not be solved too soon. Make reader wait. I agree on the challenges but not just for the hero, for the villlain also.
