Everyone knows about 4.7 reliability, but 4.6 and 5.7 is even more reliable and powerful.

Tundra phone mount, Toyota owners will appreciate

My 2007 tundra 5.7, has over 334k miles. Original engine and transmission. No major issues other than the known air flow repaired under warrantee. Oil change every 5k miles. Runs great. Could blow up tomorrow or go forever. It doesn't owe me anything. Great vehicles. I'd love to upgrade to a 2020, but it's hard to justify when my old one is running so good.

I keep saying "one day I will buy a new Tundra/Tacoma" but I am still driving my 1988 3.0 V6 Toyota 4×4 truck. I won't buy a new vehicle until it's done!✌🏽

I have a 2011 Sequoia Platinum 4x4 iForce 5.7L V8 and do about 27, 000 miles a year. I'm at 347, 000 and outside of regular maintance and of course warn out parts hear and there she is going strong. The interior has held up perfectly even with four kids growing up in this thing. I'm actually hoping to get 500, 000 in the next 4-5 years. We will see!

Currently at 637, 000 on my 2012 4.6 with all original power train. I used to work with the owner of the 2008 5.7 and we rack up these miles delivering material to the oil and gas industry all over the country but mainly the Gulf Coast.

I got 402, 000 on my 07 5.7
Feels like a new truck. I’ve just replaced the obvious-water pump, alternator, starter…my motor and transmission are flawless-when you look at the dip stick the oil looks clean always…just had the SAIS fail-ordering the Hewitt tech kit and it will be good as new. Never had any timing chain issues…still have the original coil packs…great truck-made me 100s of 1000s of $$$$

The only people criticizing Toyota and the Tundra are the GM fanboys.

Well said, I couldn't say this point any better, and this is what I've been telling all my friends about the Tundra's, all the bells and whistles will ruin the reliability of any vehicle. I've owned Toyota trucks since 1984, and they never let us down stranded on trips, I currently own a 2018 Tundra TRD 4X4 double cab and this will be my last vehicle that I'll own until I stop driving, and then my boys will inherit it, hopefully they will keep it decades on, as long as they do the maintenance on time.

Have a 5.7 liter, with 180k. Pull 9, 000 LB travel trailer with it. I added Sumo Springs and TRD sway bar. I am amazed how powerful the truck is when in Tow Haul mode. Sometimes I have to back off the gas when taking off from a dead stop

I bought my 08 Tundra DC 5.7 4X4 in September 2008 with 33 miles on the odometer. My truck just turned 130, 804 miles, yesterday. Just returned from an 8 day 900 mile trip to the mountains where there was lots of snow and ice. Besides getting 16.1 MPG (which I think rocks) my Tundra handled beautifully. Last year I changed the drive belt and added new plugs. I have added bigger off road tires and custom wheels, and I did have a LineX spray in bed liner added, to cut down on bed rust. I only use Amsoil oil and filters. I have EVERY SINGLE document from oil changes to services that were covered under warranty, from day 1 in a binder. Yeah, I’m that guy. I love my 5.7L V8! I’m 57, I plan to keep my YOTA forever. 😁

I went to Denver from Pa to buy a 2007 CM with 213, 000 miles on it. The body on the truck was perfect and after I drove it home (1450 mile test drive) I had ALL the fluids changed, and I bought a new radiator, wp, hoses t-stat etc. I now have 221, 000 on it and it runs like s Singer Sewing machine. I couldn't be more pleased.

As an owner of a 2010 Tundra, I approve this message and also puts me in doubt on how the 3.4L TT V6 will stack up in the long run to the 5.7 3UR-FE. I'm afraid that Toyota may have made a mistake not offering the 5.7 as an option and completely discontinuing it. Although part of America's market says otherwise, truck's DNA was designed as a work/utility vehicle. They were initially designed with large torqued engines, with the mindset to haul and last. Not offering an engine of this nature, on their successful large truck model to simply to keep their manufacturing streamlined, might be a mistake. I think this is where Ford was wise to keep their coyote 5.0L V8, as an option.

There's three 5.7 Tundras with over a million miles. Blaine Johnsons million mileTundra is one of them.

My 2008 5.7 hit 190, 000 thousand miles . I drove it from San Francisco California to Guatemala 🇬🇹 in one week . I used it there one a year . So far from 2015 until 2021 is running perfect, but eventually I’m doing harm to it because the low use :/ .

Great video. Thanks! I just purchased a salvaged '08 Sequoia with 5.7l with 195k miles. I was looking at platinum with bells and whistles. You confirmed what I have known for a long time. I am glad this is a SR5. It is basic but gets the job done. It runs great has a good maintenance record. I hope to get to 300k! It's 4x4 and I recently got 20mpg!

My '07 has 260k. Only things I've replaced are starter, driver side front catalytic converter, driver side timing chain tensioner ($85), brakes, and water pump (not needed, but while I was in there, why not). Has original everything, including windshield and shocks. Should easily go another 740k! Love my truck! I believe it was a gift from God. 🙏
