1 Minute Review: Persuasion by Jane Austen

This is a review of Persuasion by Jane Austen in a minute. Persuasion is the last of Jane Austen's novels, it was published posthumously. The protagonist Anne Elliot at seven and twenty years was considered almost over the hill for marriage at the time. Eight years earlier Anne had been persuaded by her vain spendthrift father, her elder sister and Lady Russell to reject Captain Wentworth's proposal as he was considered an unsuitable match for her.
The sound and video are out of sync, for which I apologize, I am away from home using my phone to make these 1 minute reviews.

Persuasion is my favorite JA novel. There is a lovely adaptation from 1995 starring Ciaran Hinds and Amanda Root. They change the story a bit but for the most part is is a beautiful adaptation.

I read Persuasion in July. It was Ok. She had a little a lot of talent as an author. I just did care about Ann getting to marry the Captain.

Persuasion is my top channel Austin book but I read pride and prejudice this Jane Austen July and it’s Almost as good. Aloha
