So, while the actual reason is the maximum name length, Scar's given reason is that a single episode is 1 good time with scar, but his channel contains all the good times with scar.

Zedaph discussed this in an episode with him, Scar said that canonically each episode he gives us is a ‘good time with Scar’, and his channel name is the collection of ‘good times with Scar’

Also it’s the minecraft name character limit but that’s boring

It's because "GoodTimeWithScar" meets the *maximum* length for usernames, so the 's' needed for it to be Times and not Time had to be sacrificed.

I was confused about this when I first started watching Hermitcraft in Season 6. Then I realized his YouTube name and Mincecraft name are different because of Minecraft policies a few episodes in.

You ever have One good time with Scar at a time. Hence the lack of S. However, his channel has many good times since it's a collection of all the good times

I remember in Zed's longest death message vid. Scar actually half explain why his name does not have a S. It because his username already maxed the number of letters
