How to Migrate WordPress Website from Cpanel hosting to AWS.

If you are looking to “transfer domain to AWS”, this means you need to move or migrate your WordPress website or blog to another hosting specific to AWS. For this scenario, I will be providing a step by step guide and some considerations needed to move and migrate your website to AWS.

This tutorial consists of three components. In the first part of the tutorial, you will learn how to launch a WordPress installation on an Amazon AWS virtual Machine.

In the second part of this tutorial, you will learn how to transfer/point your domain name to your new WordPress installation on Amazon AWS.

Finally, in the last step of this tutorial, you will learn how to migrate your existing WordPress website to your new WordPress installation on Amazon AWS.

Thank you very much! Your video provided an excellent explanation of CPanel to AWS EC2 migration. I use a Mac, which made it even easier as I simply used the MacOS ssh command and did not need Putty. For transferring the files I used the MacOS scp command and so no need for FileZilla also i.e all I needed was MacOS. However, you clear guidance was invaluable, even in January 2024. This was such a good tutorial. You really explained everything very quickly and preciely. So good to have a tutorial that does not waste time rambling on things. You are very good at this. The only thing that was missing was assigning an "Elastic IP" to have a static IP assigned to your website. I restarted my instance and then had a new IP assigned to my website.

I've done all of this instance linked to domain website is opening but when I am browsing website by IP address the website is opening in http and not redirecting to domain name. I want to block my website direct access by IP or IP address should redirect to domain name. Please reply asap.
