This was another pivotal moment that Christ claimed and revealed His divine identity to us, only this time it wasnt solely in a way that the Jews could understand culturally in that age, as was the famous John 8 reference to Abraham. This was universal. He is outright claiming to have the power of giving life. Which He of course does have. But it’s just so beautiful to me that the God of the universe wants to be in relationship with us in such a way that He would reveal Himself so outwardly. Thank you My Good Shepherd, whom I deserve not.
