It’s called a First In First Out (FIFO) bottle, for anyone searching on Amazon

I use a jelly jar. Things we buy provide many reusable containers.

you can also feeze it! bc of the way the sugar crystals are it'll remain scoopable (think peanutbutter texture) even in the freeze

Dude ive had that stuff with a plastic wrap over it in my fridge for months. Theres so much sugar in there it acts as a preservative and just doesn’t go bad. Turns a little brown tho 🤔

I like to use sweetened condensed milk in my tea, as it has a different flavor than plain granulated sugar, so this is a great idea. Thanks!

Same!!! I always end up throwing it away but I found that if I drink Vietnamese coffee often then it won’t go to waste.

If you only use a little at a time, say for Vietnamese coffee, a dual end bottle opener/can piercer also does the trick to make dispensing it easier. Just make sure you pierce another hole on the opposite side so it can flow. And you can typically leave the can tilted over a cup for bigger batches to leave your hands free while it fills :)

Put it in an ice tray in the freezer and pop out a cube whenever you need one.

Bro I tell you istg my whole country REJOICED when a company finally made condensed milk in a POUCH WITH SPOUT. Like it took them 50+ years since they first came out BUT IT WAS SOMETHING.

Ive been told to never leave stuff in open cans even if its wrapped, I just put it in a little tupperware but that squeezy bottle is a great idea too

Btw I learnt that some people put condensed milk in spaghetti bolognese! A Filipino friend. I watched him pour a whole tin in and my heart sank.

1. I was on a diet and
2. Why would would do such a thing!!!

Who puts a tin of creamy milky sugar in pasta sauce!!

😢 He was a lovely guy too. Just felt so wrong. I couldn't trust his cooking after that.

I'd be the size of a house if I stayed.

Sorry friend. 😂❤

Stick a 377 gram can in a slow cooker with enough water to cover about half an inch or so above its top and slow cook on high for 7 hours or on low for 12. Let cool completely before opening. Remove contents onto a mixing bowl and whisk in less than 1/4 cup of evaporated milk with a pinch of sea or kosher salt. Transfer to a squeeze bottle or jar. Makes a great spread on bread or topping for pancakes, muffins, ice cream, etc.

In Vietnam you make two small holes opposite of each other (you need 2 to equalize the pressure), and just tilt the can so the milk comes out from one end

If you are looking for that type of bottle they are called gravity squeeze bottles. It's what we use at the coffee shop I work at.

I love those bottles, they are so easy to clean and when you are in a kitchen with lots of sauces they are a huge time and space saver!

My fam makes a lazy version of Vietnamese coffee every morning. We open a can, get like 2 or 3 teaspoons worth of condensed milk, add instant coffee crystals, stir in hot water, and voila.

Then we leave the open can on the kitchen counter with nothing but the old lid of a Folgers container that was finished sometime before I was born, that's just "the milk lid". It sometimes crystallizes(?) as time goes on and as you get closer to the bottom, but by that point, we just give up on scooping, pour the hot water directly into the can to dissolve it all, and then pour it over the instant coffee. Takes anywhere between 2 weeks to a month and a half depending on how many people in the house are making themselves lazy coffee.

Beyond some regular lactose intolerance problems when the dairy pills fail, we've never had issues with it being out.

You can buy it in a squeeze bottle here and it’s absolutely lethal as way too easy to sneak a teaspoon from the fridge 😅
