Im so glad you did this! Before she died my poor mom fell for ads for seeds or plants like this. As the child of a dying woman, I wanted to throttle those sellers when i saw the disappointment on her face when i had to tell her that rainbow and royal blue roses, and lemon yellow strawberries would never grow for her. Best i could do was alpine yellow strawberries

Thanks for naming the plant behind you. I find myself wanting what ever is growing in your garden.

Thank you!!! I hate seeing many of these on ebay and Amazon. (Although the very real moss rose is on my wish list!) I remember my grandmother trying and trying to get a dark blue rose by sending for seeds from China....so expensive and so disappointing.

I have a green rose called 'Greensleeves', it is now discontinued and I'm devastated. The flowers are single to semi double and it opens up pink, fades to cream and turns a bright lime green. Definitely needs some more attention because it's beautiful and seems to be so unknown!

I'm so thankful for you debunking some of the roses I was very interested in

Thank you for referring this video to me in your comments. If I knew this I would not have wasted my money. Oh and by the way, you just earned yourself another sub.

My husband knows how much I love flowers. He often sends me seeds on Amazon of rainbow flowers 😂 from the first time he did I had to tell him "babe those aren't real" and he still does it. Thankfully he has not bought any bc I always tell him no. It's the thought that counts anyways.

I have a “Dark Night” which is burgundy black on the inside, yellow on the outside! Amazing. 💜🖤💛

Tombstone's rose bush, although classified a bush is really a tree. You are small in comparison. The scent when it blooms literally wafts through the whole town. Thanks for sharing all these. I wish I could become daring enough to try a bunch, but everyone makes it intimidating and seems like such high maintenance, problematic gardening, especially here in Mt. Thanks again.

Really enjoyed this! So interesting There’s no true blue for the rose. 😄 However, the lavender colored ones are lovely .
Once years and years ago I had a “Green Ice” miniature rose that changed color from bud, to early bloom, and fully mature bloom. So fun to watch. Have a great weekend! 🌿

I have a Rio Samba rose bush. It looks like a sunset. Oranges, yellows, pinks. Pictures don't do it justice. Almost every rose has a unique color combination.

The weird thing is, I did buy a light blue tea cup rose bush from Pay’N’Pak in 1982. I grew it potted indoors, and I did get 2 years of blue roses. I haven’t seen them since.

So, the moss roses are rare plant? Please keep them alive. (Sorry for my bad english).

Can you cover rose rosette disease so people are more aware of it and how it's transmitted. I'm removing an infected bush and my first thought was that my sister had looked at the rose bush (she likes roses a lot) and I was afraid that she might have carried the mites back to her own plants.

I really enjoy the informative videos you put out. I live in deer country, are there any roses that are resistant to them?

I love the purple roses from lavender to the almost black. Are there any that are considered black besides the dark purple ones?
