As trees grow they tend to engulf anything in their way. Lets find out about some trees that end up devouring things.

An interesting story I have is:
One day when my mom and I was doing gardening in the backyard, we look over at the tree that stands in between some rocks and see that the leash that our dog and leashed up to is being eaten by the tree. When we first tied the leash around the tree it was nice and loose but then it became tight around the tree. So we decided to cut off the most leash we could off the tree and then we retied the leash around a fence post. So that’s my story about my tree growing over my dog’s leash.

Hi everyone, I’m a resident of Vashon Island, where the Bike in the Tree resides! This channel is correct in the theory given for how the bike was left there. However, we do know who left it! A young boy traveling home had left it there and moved away, leaving it to the woods.

Well, when that little boy, now an adult, moved back with his own family, he discovered the tree with the bike still in it! Later, his son wrote a Christmas story about it!

Trees grow longer by primary growth at the tips and grow thicker and engulf things with secondary growth along the stem. The tree wouldn't lift the bike as it grew; it would have been hung up and left, to look like that.
