Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is a film with a slightly misleading title. I think "In the Wandaverse of Madness" is more appropriate, considering the plot. I'll be going over the major Dr. Strange 2 spoilers in this video and giving my thoughts on the film overall.

Yeah. You are definitely right about the Illuminati being taken out by Wanda so easily. I wanted the movie to flush out the Illuminati more, and see them all put up more of a fight against Wanda. It could have been the best team fight sequence that could have topped the Avengers films and Captain America: Civil War. 😞

Evil Wanda should've been the civil war of this new saga.

Like how civil war comes at the 'its all lost' moment just before the final act (infinity war - endgame) Wanda should've been built up to become the villain.
Wandavision was just planting the seeds that she could be villainous

I disagree on so many things you said but I completely respect and understand your opinions and criticisms with the film (which is the beauty of watching films that polarize audiences!). Though I agree that there was so much potential with a title like "multiverse of madness" and they did kind of waste it, I came in expecting an Sam Raimi horror movie in the MCU and felt I got exactly that! Great review! :)

Love the thumbnail! 💯 And I completely agree, no way home wouldn't have been so popular or made so much money if you remove the other spidermen parts. Btw, it was supposed to release after Dr strange 2 so originally, America Chavez was supposed to open the portals and bring over the other spidermen.

I enjoyed this movie, but I agree with everything stated. I love the Sam Raimi VISION, (bad puns are back) for the movie. His dark-comic-horror cinematography was fitting for this movie.

Showing a Chris Evans Human Torch would have been hilarious. Even if they had a billboard or a sign or picture of it--him or Michael B. Jordan as Human Torch, would have been hilarious.

I'm not even a comic book fan, but Patrick Stewart dying again, John Krasinki getting introduced basically as pitch perfect and fan-demanded casting only to get wasted, I'm offended by just those two deaths alone.

Nevermind that Strange is essentially no longer his own character and Wanda pulls a Daenerys. This movie sounds awful.

Completely agree with your review. I did enjoy the movie, especially the Sam Raimi elements. The music battle and zombie flying Strange were my favorite parts. But I did expect more multiversal madness, instead of the sampling that we got.

Spitting straight facts. I thought the same about No way home. I was wondering if I’m just MCUd out. As it was nice to see the trio in no way home, but it was surprising at all. I think they may be over saturating the market as it feels like there is a new marvel movie or tv show to watch every month or 2. I need time to breath and get excited about the next film.

My favorite part of No Way home was the first fight between Goblin and Peter. Peter was getting his ass kicked and I actually felt tension. I was like damn this is going hard. Then May passed and that was shocking to me. This movie I really didn’t feel any tension for anything lol. I felt a little for Wanda, but definitely not any of the heroes. I probably would have felt more for Wanda if we had more development of her turning evil. Not just oh she’s willing to kill basically anyone now.

This was certainly a Wanda movie, but sadly Disney knew being honest wouldn't get buts in seats. A Scarlet Witch movie vs Dr Strange release, it's a no brainer why they shifted it into a Sequel. The title certainly is the most misleading part of this movie, in multiple aspects. no pun intended.

My brother and I really enjoyed this movie and I think I'm going to see it again this weekend so maybe my thoughts will change. As a comic book fan I really liked how over the top a lot of the stuff in this movie was. Feels like something ripped right out of the doctor strange comic books and I hope we see more. The film definitely isn't perfect and Wanda's character arch is ALL over the place at this point but I feel even when marvel misses a lately the films still land pretty solidly for most.

You said it perfectly, I just finished watching this movie with my father and we both came out the movie feeling completely detached from it. I felt apathetic to all the characters, didn’t quite care about what was happening on screen. I didn’t hate the movie just felt completely indifferent towards it. While some of the visuals were interesting that was about all I could give to it. I don’t think it’s a great sign when my favorite part was watching the whimsical ways in which the iliuminati would die. This is coming from someone who throughly enjoyed the pre end game films. And side note the fight scene with musical notes almost made my eyes roll right out their sockets.

Imo Marvel took a slide in quality in the beginning of phase 2 as well ... so maybe there are better movies on the horizon, like The winter soldier.
