That's the third time in total this event has occurred in the Toss Up era, the other two were March 2003 during Season 21 and March 2006 in Season 23 respectively. So that means at the time this tiebreaker occurred it was just over a decade since the last one had happened on the show.

I actually saw the former on that episode when i was eight, but then subsequently missed the second until i saw a clip of it online well after the fact a couple of years later.

I think last time they had a tie, the toss-up wasn't worth anything but a trip to the bonus round. No money was awarded.
