I stuff it beneath my shirt, right under the collar button. Works perfectly fine every time.

I’m surprised you didn’t mention using different knots. I use a full Windsor with most ties but sometimes I have the opposite problem, where the back blade is too short so I have to go with a four in hand.

I used to think it was odd seeing sartorially well dressed men leaving the small blade slightly longer, but I succumbed to it. It just looks so good with high waisted trousers! Sprezzatura FTW!

Its fine for the back blade to be longer. Italian style

I never had that problem. My ties are too short. Does someone know longer ties for „real“ guys?😂 Which brand do that? Cheers

Nah do be that guy, small blade being longer is a great look and good use of spretzaturra

I know this may not be an option. But can you fold it up and put a tie clip on it ?

Thats why we had half windsor, double windsor and triple windsor to adjust the length

Or you can be 6'8" and never run into this issue. 🤙

Good point! Sometimes the problem isn't the length of the tie but the height of the trouser waist. I often see men wearing very low-waisted trousers, which requires a longer tie to reach the "waistline." However, this makes the tie look ridiculously long and disrupts the overall balance. Combined with very skinny ties and jacket lapels, the result is terrible! If you have basic sewing skills, shortening a tie by a couple of inches is quite easy. As mentioned in the video, it's also an inexpensive job for a tailor.

With a Windsor or half Windsor knot you'll never have that problem.

Im pretty short so Im used to just shoving both sides of the tie into my pants. It helps that I like to wear waist coats and sweater vests so those cover it up pretty well.

A nice problem to have, I always end up with the back end too short to even enter the label loop

I sometimesjust fold the bacm part back up again and secure it in place with a tie clip. . Less of a problem with a vest or waistcoat. Or with vintage ties.

As a guy who wears high rise trousers and is shorter this happens all the time, most of the time i have a vest so i tuck it in my trousers,

Trouser tuck is the best option.

Actually, I never really encountered this Problem, not even with my old 80s ties from my dad (which are relatively long) as I always use the American knot.

I usually just tie a bigger knot or I go for option 3 (tuck the tail into my trousers). However, I more often have the opposite as I have a long torso. Thanks, as always, Brian.
