The kettlebell halo is one of the most comprehensive upper body warmup movements. The halo mobilizes your shoulders and upper back, stabilizes your core, and wakes up your glutes.

Including kettlebell halos in your warmup will reduce tightness in your shoulders, and they can even decrease shoulder pain over time. Improve your shoulder mobility and stability with the kettlebell halo.

Fun fact: The kettlebell halo is one of only three warmup movements in Pavel’s book Kettlebell Simple & Sinister.

Learn how to do the kettlebell halo and avoid four common mistakes that beginners make.

Thanks for the handy tutorials, including this one!

FWIW, I found a good cue/mantra here to be "Hasten slowly." It keeps me from rushing without reducing the tempo to a putz.

mistake 5: rolling it over your shoulders..something I used to do. Possibly a sign the bell is too heavy?

Mistake number one: hitting your head and getting a black eye. Go for a lighter KB.
