‘Incredibly awkward’ moment Kamala Harris silences crowd after interrupting chant

US Vice President Kamala Harris has silenced a crowd of supporters following a chant as social media users mocked the “awkward” moment.

Harris appeared at a campaign rally in Scranton, Pennsylvania, where her supporters began chanting “Ka-Ma-La”.

Instead of using the moment to galvanise her voters, Harris attempted to start her own chant of “Let's get out to vote”.

The moment was posted to social media, with users on X roasting the vice president’s “incredibly awkward” moment.

“This is incredibly awkward. Kamala Harris interrupted a crowd chanting “Ka-Ma-La” to start a chant for “Let’s get out the vote” and they had no idea how to respond. This keeps on happening,” wrote one user.
