I gotta say that these videos are perfect timing for me. I just sent you a box of material a couple days ago to have you knap some points for me and when I get them back they're going on arrows just like these. Awesome show.

Definatly good timing for me too ... i have gotten somewhat good at making bows ... and now this huge technical world of arrows has revealed itself to me ... and honestly to make good usable arrows i think its harder than making a bow good vids as always bud .

Yes, the ripples will create more drag than a "perfect" feather but this only matters with long-range shots. The difference is negligible with short-range shots (under 20 yards).

Normally, straight as possible. It's easier. Especially when I need to pull on the ends of the quill (or membrane) to help flatten the bottom of the fletch.

It's only trivial but it appears that you did the offset backwards to what is excepted as the natural way .The feather works better with air traveling over the top side. Offsetting the feather works apposite to what nature intended.You won't notice it shooting but could be slightly noisier .I have been hand making arrows since 1970 and made thousands. Apart from that it's a great video.thanks for sharing

Does the ripples in the feather itself affect the flight of the arrow?

Is there a reason not to use artificial sinew on the point and nock? Is the thread stronger when you use glue?

can you do an eastern woodland 2 fletch cherokee style arrow ? i can only find 1 other vid on this out there but i would like to see you do a vid of this, ,, and maybe show the difference of the 2, 3, , and 4 fletch and which is the best for what ... i hope you can that would be cool
