VPN companies such as SurfShark VPN, NordVPN, and ExpressVPN have been lying to and deceiving their customers for years through their manipulating marketing. They say one thing but in reality mean another, and in this video I will show you exactly how they do this and why they get away with it.

I'll also note that the top 105 VPN's available are all owned by 24 different companies. In effect, 2 very big VPN's, CyberGhost and ExpressVPN, are owned by the same parent company. Funnily enough as well, the same company that owns NordVPN, owns Surfshark VPN... Don't trust everything that these companies say; Do your research first, and then use a VPN of your choice. From the research I have done and people I've spoken to, the best VPN that provides the best anonymity is Mullvad (not a sponsorship). Again, be careful of, not only VPN companies, but all companies and their marketing because you never know the full truth. Stay safe out there.

Even if you're visiting websites with HTTPS, which encrypts the data between your browser and the web server, you may still be vulnerable to attacks like SSL stripping, where an attacker downgrades the secure HTTPS connection to an insecure HTTP connection.

In summary, using public WiFi without a VPN exposes you to a higher risk of MitM attacks, especially if you're accessing sites or services that aren't encrypted.

Great video mate, if this is the stuff you want to make and enjoy it, i have no doubt these videos will fly once they get picked up. Great work

Ok but collecting data on their website is completely different from collecting data once you download and start using their software. That's what, as a consumer, I am worried about more than anything else. I could care less if there's a log on whatever VPN site saying that I'm a user. People can see that I drive a Toyota simply by looking. But they don't know that I subscribe to Sirius XM and they don't know that I just had port polishing done and replaced the coil pack.

You know that the website and the VPN service are different and separate, right?

You understand that the policy for the Website and the Service are two different policies, right ? Also, you misunderstood what it means to hide stuff from your ISP, you don’t have to worry about the content of the website, but the address. You don’t want your ISP or anyone for that matter know that you browse shady websites. This is what a VPN is for.

Also, you state that « all these services are based in other countries under other jurisdictions » as a basis for false advertisement, but just before that, you talk about the risk of subpoenas, which would only be enforceable if the service was operating in the USA, which you just said they aren’t. This contradiction is at best laughable, and makes me doubtful about your other claims.
