Everything You Need to Know About University of Guelph

Situated only an hour from Toronto lies the University of Guelph. Established in 1964, after the amalgamation of 3 institutions, UofG has received many accolades in recent years. Including Top 5 university in Canada from Maclean's magazine as well as Top 5 veterinary program in the world from QS World University Rankings, Guelph has a lot to show for.

The Milkman stopped by the home of the Gryphons to visit the academics and while there, students had a lot of topics to touch on including the social life, workload, and even the local wildlife that co-habits the campus with the...humans.

What is/was your experience at University of Guelph like?

I go to Guelph and it’s dope... ppl r rlly nice and if u join sports teams and clubs it’s pretty easy to get to know ppl. Also I recommend actually talking to ppl in your classes and making friends with your roommates. Like it’s rlly easy to be lonely at Guelph if your introverted, but easy to make friends and have a good time if you put yourself out there

That surveillance thing is real. I dropped a couple grams of 🌿 in rez and they tracked that shit all the way back to my room. Had to go to some drug addiction seminar 😂

Guelph is a liberal rural school. If you’re from Toronto Guelph is gonna seem really small but it has a nice community feel in my opinion. Campus is pretty, the residence food is good, and there is a ridiculous high ratio of women to men here. It’s a strange combination of hippy and farm. The students fill up downtown Guelph on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

- Parties
- Liberals and borderline socialists (profs and students tbh)
-10/10 gym
- Aggies

I am foreign UoG student and all I can say is DON'T come here if you are a foreigner it is hard to find friends you will be lonely people are racist. Professors and foods are great though. My fav prof so far is kim levere.
