I'm a Spanish teacher and I'd say this is NOT for absolute beginners. I'd classify this as more of an early stage intermediate level.

My advice to those who felt demoralized like me; rewatch this video once a day for a week or so. You’ll be surprised how much vocab you’ll absorb in such a short time. Then do the same with beginner once you feel comfortable here... and keep going up! :D

a little above "absolute beginner's" level material i'd say. i'm gettin most of it here after a couple months of studying but i think ya gotta dumb it down a bit for it to actually be palatable to an absolute beginner.

Who came here after both intermediate and beginner were too hard 😭

I'm an intermediate level learner and this video is almost perfect for me, although a little bit easy for an intermediate, but it's certainly not for an absolute beginner. Very good video for low level intermediate learners I would say.

In my opinion, this is very advanced listening. I have been studying spanish for two years while travelling in Mexico and I only get 25% of the conversation.

I hardly practice like one hour a week, and I started 2 months ago. When I started I didn't know more than 10 words and now I was able to write down the words as she speaks and of course I have a few mistakes in listening comprehension but I was able to write down most of the conversation. Really don't get discouraged, you will get better, keep going mis amigos.

Put this on 0.75x speed folks if you want the content to match the title jaja

This video really helps. I went to Cuba and tried my Spanish there. I was able to ask a question but had no idea what they answered. So listening practice is really needed. And her voice is fine and better than many Cubans speak.

Like a lot of people have said, this is not for absolute beginners, but it is very helpful as someone who took 2 years of spanish and is just getting back into learning it now.

It's a really useful video, but when you call it "absolute beginner" and it's challenging for someone who's been studying Spanish intensely for 4 months it's kind of demoralizing. Either I'm hopeless and should quit, or you're expecting a lot from an "absolute beginner".

“Hello everyone, I’m Rosa! How are your Spanish listening skills?”
Trash, apparently 😔

I like your videos and they're useful. But the only thing that seems to distinguish levels is the length of each section, not content or speed. This "Absolute Beginner" video is spoken at the same speed of the "Beginner" and "Intermediate" videos. It uses future imperfect, preterite, preterite imperfect, continuous progressive present, subjunctive...basically every tense and mood conjugation. Do you seriously expect an "Absolute Beginner" to know all those verb conjugations? It also uses words that aren't high frequency that wouldn't be known to an "Absolute Beginner."

As I said, I like your videos and I find them useful. But...you're gravely mistaken in labeling this for "Absolute Beginners" solely because the sections are the shortest.

This is really good! I'm in eighth grade and have had some trouble with hearing comprehention and this has helped a lot.

I’ve been learning Spanish for about six months and I spend at least 20 minutes but try my best to keep it everyday. I hardly understand the question but I still can answer the question correctly. As long as you pick up the right keywords then the answer is just there. I understand those who says it too much for a beginner but I also consider myself as a beginner and this is perfect for me.

Thank you! I found the video useful for me (I used to learn Spanish 3 years ago so now I have the aim to remind everything). Despite difficulty with tenses, it can be understood by beginners

I don't know what I'm doing here. I can speak Spanish perfectly well because I'm a Spanish speaker.

Just a heads up for those struggling to keep up - you can slow down the speed of the dialogues by going into the video's settings and then selecting Playback Speed.
