How to Save Yellow, Purplish, and Weak Looking Tomato Plants - Nitrogen!: Two Minute TRG Tips

Показать описание
Young tomato plants can get yellow, get a purple look to their stems, look weak, and appear stuck. The best approach is to use water-soluble nitrogen first and see how they respond over a week. Don't over love them and load them up with more than they might need.

I’m up at 4:55 am on the west coast thinking about my garden. Then your video pops up about exactly what is happening to my tomatoes. I was looking at them today and completely baffled by my tomatoes that are struggling. Guess what I’m doing at 6:30 now ...going out to my garden with my 5:11! Thanks Gary! You are amazing, so helpful, and right on time with your advice!!!

Perfect timing! My tomatoes looked the same and I did exactly what you showed us, about two days ago. I’m hoping it goes well.

Just in Time, as always. Similar situation to the commenter Nicole. Watching all my Healthy tomatoes turning yellow with purplish stems and underside of leaves. I really like that you have a way of calming the anxiety many of us feel who Don't know what to do to fix it. Not a big deal just give it some fish emulsion, Nothing to freak out about. Love It! Thanks so much as Always.

This is why I plant a large number in black pots and keep them above ground until June. Although I planted what will be my main season tomatoes at the same time, those that are in the pots are 6 times bigger and healthier. You could spread a little black plastic strips around your raised beds and on the soil to help increase and keep the temperature up until real warmth arrives. As temperatures continue to fall each growing season it would be best if you continue to adapt to cooler temperatures for spring and fall.

Today is the day, Gary. The nights here in Md may not see the 40s again. :-) Woohoo! Still may be a bit too cold for the pepper seedlings at night, but I've been bringing them out of the grow shed every morning. Thanks for the Two Minute Tip!
