Trey: we always want to blame someone else for our own sin.

Aaron: no, we are responsible for our own sin.

Trey: it's Adam's fault. Adam did it and it's imputed to us.

Aaron: no, it's my responsibility.

Trey: you always blame others. I blame Adam.

Aaron knows the Bible and knows how to apply it. Trey knows Calvinism. I’ll go with the Bible.

Please, anyone who watches this video. Listen to what Trey says starting at 43:20. He says "we just need to look at scripture" and that "we can have an emotional argument and I'll go ahead and tell you right now, I lose the emotional argument. I lose it when you come to pulling on the heartstrings of people. I don't want to have that argument." He then immediately goes into a 7 minute rebuttal and does not utilize one single scripture passage but instead makes an emotional argument. How ironic is that? Seriously!

Another excellent debate. Those quotes about babies from “Calvinist/reform theology” preachers are just horrible and completely unbiblical. That kind of deceptive teaching is allowing their followers to be complacent in sins because it takes the responsibility from themself and allows them the “I can’t help it” attitude in regard to their personal sins. Thank you, Aaron, for the excellent presentation of what scripture teaches us. I pray there are calvinists watching whose hearts are pricked with truth in God’s Word.
Matthew 19:14 should honestly prick anyone’s heart in regards to babies and little children:
“Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”
Thank you, dear Father in Heaven, for settling that debate!

Not even a member of the church of Christ, but all Trey seems to do is straw man Aaron’s argument. He argues things that Aaron never even says and at times things that Aaron says the opposite of.

This Debate made up my mind for certain...Thank you Aaron.
When your eyes are open, it's easy to see that thinking the Lord created some people to be tortured for eternity is blasphemy against God's character...
Trey...you need to pray for discernment..
I would like to know what sin a baby has committed ?... you are bearing false witness.... The sins a baby pays for from the parents would be alcoholic parents, abusive parents or a mother that aborts her child ect....not just because they are born terrible creatures..do you hear what you are saying??....Trey keeps saying were going to get into scripture and context, context, context...but I have heard Aaron quote Way more scripture without the need to bend it.

Trey says he is going to use scripture but he doesn’t. He gives anecdotes that’s it. He tries to belittle and discredit Aaron, in my opinion. He can not debate him so he tries to belittle him and subtly attack him. Again, my thoughts.

Thanks, Aaron. Don't grow weary in doing good

Aaron is doing what he’s supposed to be doing, refuting false teachers and their false doctrines. More Christians should be doing the same thing instead of criticizing those that do!

Aaron makes a fantastic point on Total Depravity. If you destroy that they ALL of Calvinism /Reformers goes with it.

I can’t believe that Trey is still willing to try and prove this false doctrine! It’s unbelievable 😢!

I’ll answer Trey’s question about sinning continually: I don’t sin “continually” or “willfully.” John chapter one says I don’t. Sinning continually and willfully in the way he was putting it suggests having an attitude of rebellion, as defined by Hebrews 10:26. I sin out of weakness; stumbling sometimes when situations are put in my way by Satan during moments of weakness. John 1 explains that. There’s a difference in weakness and rebellion. And Trey kept making a distinction between the way Jesus was tempted and the way we are tempted. He can’t bring himself to acknowledge that the verse says clearly that Jesus was tempted “like as we are.”

Did Trey just seriously claim that Aaron's stance is that our sin is everybody else's fault? When he literally believes we are depraved but of... SOMEONE ELSE???

No offense but Trey is not great at answering these questions. By that I mean he seems to dodge the actual question most of the time. And he seems super smug. He constantly accuses Aaron of “proof texting” yet he does nothing different to suggest HE isn’t. And Aaron seems to use scripture way more.

In his opening statement, Trey sincerely hopes that people will open their eyes. But his doctrine says you cannot open your eyes. God has to do it for you. Trey does not understand what he believes nor the implications of what he believes.

It seems like Trey was trying to run out the clock alot.

Trey had a shocking lack of scripture to support his argument.

WOW! Trey has a really messed up theology.

We should count how many times Trey says we need to go to the scriptures and then doesn't go to scriptures. 🤔

Trey's approach to this is frustrating. He claims some vague accusation and doesn't back it up with evidence. It's pretty adolescent. It reminds me of arguments I had with friends in High School.
