Great procedure for clearing RAM on sleep but it does comes with some unintended consequences (one being all connected drives are disconnected) basically leaving you Mac "brain dead" while in sleep or hibernation mode. A quick toggle menu icon would be nice for activation prior to going into sketchy situations where this function might be needed.

is there a way to test out whether this works or not without compromising the computer?, I trust that you know what your teaching, but I just want to see it action :)

Would a TPM store encryption keys on the dedicated chip rather than the RAM? If I had one and then proceeded to follow your video would that be ultimately taking away security or just going about securing it in a different way?

Wouldn't it be easier to just restart the Mac frequently at a hotel or public place thus mitigating the attack surface even further?

Would be great you also provide the command to reset to the default for people who want to undo it ;)

Thanks for the informative videos -- keep 'em coming! :) It's nice to find a channel that doesn't have it's tongue welded to Apple's asshole.

I ran the suggested command on 2 machines, a 13" mid 2012 Macbook Air 8GB and an early 2015 Macbook Pro 13" Retina 16GB. The older machine seems fine but the Pro is exhibiting a couple oddities when it's woken up from sleep:

1) My external keyboard and mouse will not work until I unplug them and plug them in again.
2) Wifi shows it's connected (to my router) but my browsers will not connect to the internet and other apps like Mail, Outlook show I'm offline, etc. This is all rectified when I turn off wifi and turn it on again.

Thoughts?
