I'm seeing this whole "planning" phenomenon you're talking about while already 3 days into your Jam. I can confirm, that I did not do any planning other than "I think this idea fits the theme". Will get back to you with how I go.

I had it today where I had the problem that I couldnt figure out how to drag an object across the screen with the mouse.
After I had dinner, I almost immediatly solved the problem.
I have been pretty much working all day.

I’m at uni for game design and I’m going to a Jam this weekend for the first time. I’m only in my first year so I don’t actually know how to make a game yet, but I’m really looking forward to being in a room with people who *do* know how, as well as just being exposed to the game dev environment
