In the best years of my life the Wings were dominating the playoff picture and oftentimes the Stanley Cup went to them. They were #1, but there were enough hot teams to spice it up and get The Cup. Now I'm in my 40s and the Wings need every win they can get and I hope they get them. I would be very happy to see a reversal back to then. I also mean that with how the world works now, but it was already off its axis then. I suppose there's eternal life for the NHL, but not for world unity hopes. Can't have everything can you?
