Egypt desperately needs economic assistance. Is oil-rich #saudiarabia likely to help in a meaningful way? What will the Saudis want in return? Last month #Egypt 's president at Cairo airport welcomed the Saudi Crown Prince before #biden 's mideast trip. The organization of "this big event is a reflection of the strength of the historical and economic links that bind the two fraternal countries," the CEO of GAFI emphasized Tuesday.

Due to mutual interests and certain perceptions of threat #egypt and #saudiarabia remain strategic allies in the #middleeast. #saudiarabia respects #egypt 's powerful military because it aids in defending the #redsea , a strategic ally important body of water. #egypt on the other hand, views #saudiarabia as it's most significant economic donor and as a place where Egyptian labor may be found. They both oppose political liberalization and outside interference in their domestic affairs, both of which they worry the #biden administration may pursue as part of a reinvigorated American effort to advance human rights. Throughout the #trump administration, this initiative was put on hold.

#egypt and #saudiarabia have enjoyed cordial ties over the past few years in various political, economic, security, and investment areas. They have also consistently coordinated on important regional concerns. but what are the main goals of the state ownership policy in Egypt?
