Meet the Experts: Vicki Caraway, R.N. :60

Esteemed nurse and healthcare leader Vicki Caraway, R.N., BSN, MBA, NE-BC, has been appointed chief nursing officer of Baptist Health Cancer Care, where she will oversee all nursing functions at Miami Cancer Institute and Lynn Cancer Institute.
{TRANSCRIPT}: - I have the honor of being the Chief Nursing Officer for not only Miami Cancer Institute, but also for Baptist Health Cancer Care. We are really making sure that what we do for our cancer patients is consistent throughout the system and that we are aligned and how we deliver that care. So that our patients have the same expectations, no matter where they receive care for cancer in the system, that they can expect the same level of care. I think the future for all of us, it's really looking at social determinants of health predicting when patients are gonna have issues before they have them. But we're trying to do the best. We are constantly challenging ourselves to be better tomorrow than we are today. So it's very multi-pronged. I'm also looking at our service standards and then once we set those and meet those, okay, now let's go to the next level and set some additional standards. And that's really what we're working towards.
