{TRANSCRIPT}: - I'm Vicki Caraway. I'm the Chief Nursing Officer at Miami Cancer Institute. Even though we are young, we're six years old, the amount of experience that the team has brought to the table and the combined leadership team is pretty extraordinary. So one of the goals for us is to navigate every cancer patient in the system. Where there are opportunities for us to make sure that if a patient's moving throughout the system and there's a change or a handoff, that there is that one person that's really the needle with the thread weaving through that is consistent throughout their journey. When you think of nursing, you don't think as much about the technology. So not only is it about caring, it's about navigating all of that as well. That as a nursing body, it's important for us to make sure that we're constantly challenging ourselves, that we're doing research, that we're looking to the evidence to make sure that that's what drives the decisions that we make to improve the care and be better. Nurses are very resilient. They do tough stuff every day. They deal with problems, they find a solution. We have nurses that have been in the system for 30 years. And then we have, obviously, people who are newer, but come with experience. And so together I think we weave this beautiful tapestry that's pretty phenomenal. People are so dedicated, and they're so invested in what we do, and that is really evident when you walk in the door here.
