I study several languages. I learned Russian when I was 36, but I had a semester of German when I was 24. Then in 2003, I started studying Spanish, French, and German again. Now I am 71 years and trying to add Polish to the list. I also picked up 2 years of Ancient Greek in college.

I learn whole sentences saying them aloud. 5 days - 300 repetitions per day at least. Later I don't need to translate. I know the meaning of words straight away like in my native language. And also I remember the meaning longer than by learning separate words. This method is called: chunking. It was a real game changer in my learning process and communication skills in English and other languages.😊😊

My second language is Japanese. Trying to improve my Spanish which is at B1. Japanese is way easier than all. It's always my main focus but, decided to continue German, then little bit of Russian on the side since I like it and can read it. I was wondering if I'm crazy. Oh, am I a polygot? Yo soy loco?

Im glad to find your video! Could you please recommend how to start a new language, and if we should learn one language at a time? My worry and maybe mistake is if i only focus on my target language right now, (korean) i am worried i will forget all the other languages i have studied up to this point. Wow, how did you manage to keep languages apart!! This is still so hard for me.
