You're not doing it any favors comparing it to Dawn of War 3. That game was a terrible mistake that killed the series.

Generally what I've heard from people that have actually played DoW 1 - 3 is that it's more like DoW2 (no base building, you're focused on army building and capturing / defending strategic points to build more or better units) than DoW3.
This seems like IGN doing another "It's the Dark Souls of X".

Why would you compare it to Dawn of War 3 in the title? Dawn of War 3 is universally hated. Change the title. If not for the sake of the game, do it in support of the company developing the game.

An OK summary of the transition from WFB to AoS, but it didn't make it clear that this was a new reality build from the remnants from the old one.

Well, the comparison with DoW3 seems kinda accurate.
Maybe with some splatters of 2 in the mix and its not screaming MOBA yet, but the very minimal building options and likely not much in the deparment of unit upgrades this is in the general direction of DoW3.
