I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you go with REP Fitness for your own home gym construction. The equipment is high-standard and very reasonably priced compared to its competitors.

The funniest thing is this is the easiest event for me to max lol. It takes me like no effort to max. Before I learned the technique to do it, I used to struggle to get to 8 now 20 is nothing. There’s a momentum to it and a rhythm, once you figure it out with your body you’ll max it every time. Also always put your stronger arm closer to your body, it helps I promise.

It’s unfortunate this is no longer an event. I liked it, knocked out 20 and it was fun to train for. Now I have to train for the boring, static plank. The deletion of this event takes out the warrior spirit of who and what we Soldiers stand for. To train, overcome, and develop ourselves. Not complain and show weakness to the point the event is removed. The lazy and weak minded won this one. Great tips and videos, btw🙏!

We did this at an unofficial ACFT event recruiters held. Had no clue how to do it. Was able to get 9 somehow. Perfect video

So far, I can max the 2-mile, sprint drag, and hand release pushups. This (leg tuck) and deadlift have been my hardest events to max. Looking forward to improving!

When it was all about just doing the sit-up for the APFT, we’d do fast Eddie’s all day long. (Flutter kicks, leg raises, scissor kick, crunches, Russian twists, and bicycle crunches - all in succession preceded with sit-ups with no stop). Once they announced ACFT we started doing the same with a medicine ball suspended, time under tension. Worked super well. Good results for the whole of the formation.

I dig your videos man. Keep it up. Good to see ways to adjust the rut for the older guys, and place to start for the new guys. All the whole programming humility and grit. Love it dude.

One thing I like to do when I’m actually doing sets of leg tucks is holding a dumbbell between my feet. Increase the amount of resistance during training so that way I can just knock ‘me out during the ACFT.

According to Breitbart: "The Army announced Wednesday (3/23/22) it was scrapping the “leg tuck” from its Army Combat Fitness Test for good, and replacing it with a plank, after data showed women were failing at even doing one." It's painful to see any branch lowering its standards for sake of inclusion.

Some units require a dead hang between each rep. Also, leg raises with your arms to your side target your core real well.

Merry xmas!!! I just tried doing this today and I was at least able to do one. Obviously or good enough for my standards and I will keep trying to pump this out. For my goal max is the minimum. Much love! Fort Benning here I come! Lol

Great video! Recently I subscribed to you because you have been a great inspiration to get my fitness in check before I leave for basic. I am constantly looking at ways to improve myself to become a better soldier. This video could not have come at a better time, I've been working on every part of my fitness however I've been struggling to find good core exercises with minimal equipment. Thanks for sharing some good exercises and keep up the great work!

I totally agree about it being difficult to have all graders on the same page. Awesome video and great advice! I think I saw you at Dahl Gym on Tuesday 👀

I like how you curl your knees to your sternum. Many, simply lift their knees straight up, making it a hip flexor movement only.

How often should I lift heavy? I'm an 11-B, only in the National Guard however wondering how often I should lift, how often I should do calisthenics, and how often I should do cardio, and how to properly split it through the week.

If there is any sort of lifting, what should it include? Olympic style lifting, powerlifting style lifting? Thank you!

Also don’t have an nco grader that will be a narc on your form and fuck you over while you’re holding it at the top for 5 seconds
