Taking the stage over Naval Air Station Oceana were the base's Hornets and Super Hornets for the Fleet Air Power Demonstration. Seven aircraft, one F/A-18C Hornet from VFA-106 "Gladiators", one F/A-18E Super Hornet from VFA-131 "Wildcats", two F/A-18A++ Hornets from VFC-12 "Fighting Omars" and three F/A-18E Super Hornets from VFA-105 "Gunslingers" took part in a demonstration that featured air-to-air dogfighting, air-to-ground attacks, an in-flight refueling demonstration, a mass flyover, and recovery of all seven aircraft. Intermixed into the demonstration was an MH-60S Knighthawk from HSC-7 "Dusty Dogs" as well as a jump from Skydive Suffolk.
