I am so glad to see a video on a Pharm.D., many people do not give enough credit to pharmacists and that needs to change! True medical experts that advise physicians on the best drug to treat the patient and protect the patient's health. Pharmacists are extremely knowledgeable healthcare providers. Been watching your series for quite some time now - it's so wonderful to see you feature a pharmacist. As a pharmacist myself (I am currently not practicing it, however I am still in healthcare) it absolutely warms my heart to see someone speak with such passion about the importance of it. I don’t understand why physicians just don’t stop with a diagnosis and let pharmacologists and pharmacist decide which drug in which formulation has to be prescribed for it and actually have right to prescribe it. Since medics are not the experts of drugs they don’t even understand fully the difference between ibuprofen, diclofenac, nimesulide in terms of cox ratio inhibition. Especially in neuropsychopharmacology there should be a pharmacologist to manage therapies not medics, they should just diagnose and check up. Not givin drugs.
