Wealthy friend of mine was accused of spoiling his wife, and without missing a beat he responded with “No shit. She’s my wife, not my daughter. I made the millions TO spoil her, and she played a big part on that.” #relationshipgoals

With regard to the story of the client who gave the banker woman $12, 000. Years ago my niece had a job grooming dogs. She had a client that would always tip her $100 and would never let another groomer touch her dog. One evening after my niece finished with the woman's dog, the woman asked my nice if they could talk outside. When they got outside the woman said "I want you to have this." It was a check for twenty thousand dollars. Being stunned an confused my niece ask "Why are you giving me this?" The woman replied, "When my husband died he left me more money than I will ever be able to spend and I wanted to do something nice for you." Incredible!

My aunt worked part-time as a gardener for a very wealthy couple for years. The lady of the house (and she was a TRUE lady) always paid her well over what she owed. My aunt got all the hand me down furniture and was told to keep it or sell it, it was hers. Anything left over from parties the staff took home and the lady always made it a point to order MUCH more than they needed so the staff and their families would be well fed.

One day my aunt - who had been going through some very difficult times - had a breakdown in the garden. The lady found her, held her and insisted that my aunt lay out all her problems.

Not only did the lady pay off all of my aunt's debts on the spot, but she hired her a lawyer to settle another issue and a year later my aunt had a monthly income for life. She also got my aunt to some medical specialists to take care of some serious medical issues my aunt had been trying to work through on her own. The lady paid for all of her medical care and medicines until she got insurance - which the lady arranged for.

My aunt insisted on paying back the money and made payments until the lady died. It was found out later that the lady had put every cent aside and left it back to my aunt in her will. Cherry on top? She also paid off my aunt's house. Now my aunt is retired and VERY relaxed. lol!

This woman was kind to everyone she ever met. She had a grace and compassion that's extinct now. The world will miss her.

Money and age don't make you better or worse. Both will make you more YOU. If you were good and kind, you'll be good and kind in spades. If you were cruel and angry, you'll be much more so.

Rich people are just people with the freedom to be themselves.

Love the woman who grew up rich and somehow still saw the ridiculousness of her parents' behaviour. She seemed very down to earth and intelligent.

And here I am just thinking about how an extra $100 a month would literally change my life 😂

I don't need to be rich, I just want that magical notepad that fulfills you're grocery list! That's all I need in life.

Gotta tell a happy story. My late husband and I were staying in our little tiny cabin in Alaska. My husband was out all day on the tundra. A very elderly gold miner knocked on the door and I asked him to come in cuz that's what you do in Alaska. I gladly listened to his stories from long ago and offered him duck stew and fry bread.
Next day he comes to the door with a mayonnaise jar full of gold nuggets. He said pick all that you want and I'll get them put on your gold wedding band. I picked out 3 that were "cool". I thought I was just visiting with him and helping him pass the time.
My husband told me the gentleman was worth millions and would mine in the summer because he did it when he was poor and young.
My ring is one of a kind.🤗

“Imagine being so rich you could just give someone $12, 000 dollars & not bat an eye.”

I honestly think that would be the very best thing about being wealthy. In fact, I’d probably lose a lot of my money from giving it to folks who need it.

When I was a baby, my mum worked for a rich Japanese family, tutoring the kids. One day, the Japanese mum asked my mum to go to the bank and translate for her. She wanted to withdraw about £20k and obviously the bank wanted to know why. Turns out she wanted to go shopping on Oxford Street and was factoring in the car parking fines for parking ON OXFORD STREET. Fines really are just extra charges for rich people.

Hey, Charlotte! Just wanted to translate the “pamasahe” video for you and everyone else. Pamasahe means fare in Filipino. Basically when she and her rich friends meet up, she either uses public transport, a cab or an Uber/Grab which would usually cost her around 300 Philippine Pesos (approximately USD 6) but her friends would give her 1, 000 Pesos (approx. USD 20) 😂 Hope this helps!

The "gold digger" one, there is a difference between
not being taken advantage of vs being financially abusive
Dude crossed that line

As for the girl with the buzz cut who’s mom was worried about kidnappers: When that tik tok first went viral, internet sleuths figured out her dad is the multi billionaire owner of the Boston Red Sox. So, everything she said is most likely true.

I worked at a retirement home, and one of the residents was telling me about how married women and mothers should be home and not working. Of the 20 or so staff, 1 was a man (maintenance worker) and the rest of us were women, mostly mothers.

I looked at her and said “we’ll it’s a good thing we don’t all think that way, or you’d be homeless!” And it was like she had never even considered that thought before. The look of realization on her face was something else. Imagine being 90 and never learning those lessons.

This just happened to my Husband a week ago. He was shopping at a grocery store and he had a lot of shopping so when this older lady got in line behind him he let her go in front of him cause she only had a couple of things. Then this guy got behind him and he was only buying gift cards so my Husband let him go in front of him aswell. He asked my Husband are you sure 3 times and he said yea. The guy wound up buying $300 in gift cards so I guess he had money. My Husband was ringing out and the guy was still standing there and started to put his card in the credit card machine and my Husband said sir sir that's for my stuff thinking he was doing it as a mistake. The guy said yea I know and paid for all his groceries. The total was $90 and the guy paid for all of it.

When I was in my 20s I had 2 children. When my husband left I couldn’t get a job that would pay for childcare so we lived on the dole. I had cardboard soles in my shoes to protect my feet from the holes in them. My kids always needed things so I couldn’t afford new ones. One day my mother was telling me how sorry she was for a woman she worked part time with who had been forced to turn off the central heating in 2 unused bedrooms and couldn’t afford goose fat to roast the Christmas turkey in. I lived in a dilapidated house with no central heating, double glazing etc and you could see through the floor to outside near the window. She never felt at all bad for me and her grandchildren. My mum was well off so she didn’t understand poverty.

I wish I were rich enough to help out a person in need just to make their life easier for a while.

The thing about the caregiver story is that a LOT of our clients (depending on the area and I work for mostly rich people) are definitely millionaires. HOWEVER, They are not paying us $15/hr. 😒 Our agencies are paying $15/hr but charging these people thousands a week for 12-24 hr care. My client pays my entire month's earning every WEEK. She's paying like $8k-$9k a month 🥴 It's too bad it's hard to find private caregiving opportunities.

The $50 for fetching a wallet. I have experienced wealthy people do it too, and some of them do it on purpose in order to be able to give money to the working class as tips without seeming too condescending or rude. They know a $50 tip can make many people's day.

6:20 the arab guy post reminds me of a joke:
Rich arab dad sends his son to a university in europe. He's gets along pretty good and writes a letter to his dad: "Hey dad, university i great i learn so much stuff..." And ends his letter with: "But i feel a bit akward being chauffeured to university in my rolls royce everyday while all the other students arrive by tram."
A week later he receives a check over 10 Million € from his dad with the letter "SON! Here's 10 Million. Stop embarrassing us and buy yourself a tram!"
^^
