Mint Mobile Is Getting Worse: First Feature To Fall?

It's getting bad right now. T-Mobile wants user data and is messing with visual voicemail and the support is absolutely horrendous now

Spoke to Mint CSR today "I'm sorry to say, just had checked with the technical team that there is a changes in the visual voicemal that now mint is supported only in the apple phones and its not supporting for the android & google phone."

This is a big issue, at least for us occasional travelers. I normally carry a T-Mobile hotspot to connect my phone on WiFi when traveling and turn data roaming off on my phone and still have text and data. But now I'm forced to pay a lot more for those few texts that I MIGHT get, besides the authentication ones mentioned on the video.

International calling always sucked. Plus, it didn't always work in all areas. I have family in Spain and Portugal, and Mint barely ever worked well there. Terrible reception and many dropped calls. Plus this annoying detail where ppl would call you, and it would ring and ring on their end, but on my end, I ever receive the call. Also, it gives you an error message where it sounds like the phone is disconnected. Ppl would always ask what happened to your phone? 😂

For domestic service tho, still can't beat their yearly deals.

As far as I know mint mobile has not been acquired by T-Mobile yet, the FTC is still out on that one.
The changes you're seeing is all on mint mobile.

I haven’t used this feature but can definitely see how this is a huge let down. Interested to see what changes continue to roll out over the coming months. If things change too much I may look into other providers 😢

I still see ads where Ryan Reynolds says that he's the owner of the service. I'm using Mint, but if T-Mobile takes over, I'll probably switch to Consumer Cellular, or some other reasonably-priced service. T-Mobile certainly has a BAD reputation.

Not a huge deal, Mint has always been a pain with international regardless, I gave up with constant Uproam issues and just use Airalo and other services which are much better when I do leave. If you're traveling internationally continuously Mint is not a good option as big wireless carriers have much better international perks honestly.
