Thank you for this clear and well paced explanation. It is part of what I need, and it represents the bridge between conveying light and depth in black and white (graphite, which I do basically understand), and the same creation of volume or distance in color, which I am learning like a new baby. I am also looking for some insights on using different but related hues, and shades of them, to create depth and shadows.

This is a helpful video and I will apply it to a drawing I am currently doing of crocuses. However, it was difficult for me to watch because of the background "music" that became foreground.

Whats good is no music. Hard to concentrate with music that is why libraries are quiet. Beautiful art
