Probably one of the most original sounding bands of all time. They created timeless paintings.

Jim is the best front man of all time. There was no fakeness and he lived it to his death. For somone to go from screaming anger to a crooning love song is pure genius. His embodiment of work for 5 years is astonishing. Jim got his wish that the doors will last for eternity.

A fantastic album, The doors will always be legendary. Jim was iconic, intelligent and extremely handsome. Let’s not forget Ray playing the Hammond organ, that’s not easy. John’s rhythmic drumming and some of Robbie’s solos are excellent, not just on this album but others also.

I used to listen to The Doors while reading Edgar Poe as a teenager, it created an incredible atmosphere I'll always remember.

I was a freshman in high school in Tucson Arizona (CDO HIGH) from '69-'70. I just turned 68 here in Dec. '22. You have no idea how these tunes spinning off of this album are bringing back all kinds of wonderful, colorful memories of that vibrant time of a kid's life....school football and basketball teams, car washes for raising money and giant Arizona sunburns from the day, first kisses from that most perfect girlfriend of the all the angst that comes with that age as well. The Doors ushered it all into my were huge in Arizona.

Jim's band. His words and melodies. Ray was there to pour the concrete. Best front Man ever roughly 75 songs and everyone a GEM. Six albums of original material. and none since 1971. That's it and it still opening "doors* and Minds in 2022!

Bought this album in 1970 in a dismal little record shop on Hollywood Blvd; been listening to it ever since. My sons are not that impressed with most of my oldies collection, but this one always pleases them.

Robbie’s guitar, Ray’s keyboard & John’s drums just as important as Jims words and vocals

I think the Doors music is more relevant and modern than anything else that was being produced in
1970. The Doors don't belong to any era. Just really good music.

I think that this may be my favorite album by the Doors. Every song is good to excellent.

Could listen to this over and over and over, as the music is never over.

I can't tell you how many times this album got me through work! And my co-workers want to know how I did it? Thank you Morrison Hotel 1970!

"Indians scattered on dawn's highway bleeding
Ghosts crowd the young child's fragile eggshell mind..."

This is the first album I ever bought. I then spent the rest of the spring and summer working my behind off at a fast food joint to buy a Marantz 2270 Receiver, a Technics SL1200 turntable and a pair of AR 3a speakers. Somewhere along the line I purchased Dark Side of the Moon. The sound back in those days was absolutely incredible. Every note. Every chord. Every nuance. Digital just doesn't captured it. There's no... soul. True audiophiles agree. That's why today, in 2023, I'm still spinning records on that same Technics SL1200. And the Doors never sounded better.

So why am I here?

Well, it all started with a Bigfoot video... lolz!

Incredible band. Bobby Kreiger's playing is amazing and Jim sends a shiver down my spine.

At first hearing them I have difficult time categorize their music and so suddenly I shake it off and go with the flow and embrace their beautiful uniqueness. 😊
