I've only used the checking so far since '22. I mainly went with chime because I got a link and both myself and the person who sent it to me got 100$. I also don't mind getting paid on Thursday instead of Friday thru chime

My chime account got closed for no reason and they did not refund me. I actually opened an account after watching some of the videos in the cannel, and now after months of endless hours trying to contact chime with no luck, they have closed and retained all my funds. Avoid avoid, and please stop promoting them...

I had Chime for less than a day and was having serious doubts about whether or not I should use them. After doing my research I decided it wasn’t worth the risk and got out as QUICK as possible.

I transfer money from my chase account to my chime & use my chime card for fast food & take out don’t trust people holding my main bank card like chase so it protects me from overcharging my card with fees also safe of mind!

Capital One now offers 2.00% as well which is why I moved everything there.
I’ve read a lot of horror stories from disputes etc regarding Chime and that’s what steered me away.

Chime customer support is the worst I have ever experienced. They've straight up ignored me, several times, while trying to gain access to my account. I have spent two months trying to access it, with zero help. I cannot speak for how their services are with the account itself, but seeing as they have refused to assist me in getting into my account, I wouldn't let a penny touch them.

The two times I've needed Chime support, they wouldn't even answer the phone. Literally, when the system said it would transfer me, it disconnected me instead. Multiple times. The first time this happened was when I needed gas and neither of our cards was working. I found out later their system went down. I'm not sure what happened the second time, it finally started working again and I didn't bother trying to call after that.

So what about depositing check? My job doesn’t offer direct deposit. SoFi takes 5 days to deposit my check, usually Wells Fargo or Truist will be ready by next day. Does chime take 5 business days as well?

Key bank when i need a physical bank. for online ill use sofi, ally capital one along with a few others yet i dont trust chime enough i prefer auaual banks over fintech banks
