Hey there, I have an LTX1050 KW 2012 model my wife and I bought new in 2013 from Weno's in High Point, N.C. It was left over from the previous year but still new. A good friend of mine was a mechanic there at the time and recommended it. I liked the 54'' model with the taller tires like you but he said the Kawasaki has less vibration than the Kohler's. Mine has the FR691V 23 hp and has been great to say the least! 640 hrs., having replaced the drive belt & deck belt twice, 1 idler pulley (deck), put tubes in tires and a couple of batteries. Also just replaced the idler arm; was getting some wear at the shoulder spacer causing the belt to roll over. Have kept mine serviced; air & oil filters, plugs, greased and only run high test non-ethonol gas. This replaced my 1971 JD 112 w/46'' deck which I still have. These are very comfortable and so are the Cub Cadet zero-turns, imo. and easy to work on! Btw, mine has the Tuff-torq transmission. Great review!

All I have ever owned Cub Cadet. For the job they do I won't purchase anything but! I have a sc2400 24 horse yanmar with a 60 inch deck and a z force 24 horse kawasaki with a 60 inch deck. Mow 10 acres keep oil and filters changed, keep decks and blades clean and sharp. Oh yes an occasional flat tire but yard looks great. One thing I will tell you if you have all level property a zero turn with joy sticks is fine if you have any steep inclines get a zero turn with steering wheel that way if you mow incline sideways you can hold it right where you want it joy sticks have caster wheels you'll never hold it where you want it it will go where it wants to (down)! I always purchase from a dealer Lowe's has no repair shop and if you purchase from them then go to a dealer you'll pay more to have repair made! Just alittle advise from a diehard cub guy! My neighbors all have those green things to mow with and their yards look like crap 😂

I have LTX 1050 KW it's a 2011 model but mine has a tuff torq transmission not a hydrogear. I leave mine outside(uncovered) all the time and it has 500 hrs on it and still going strong. My only real gripes are the front axles and the crappy plastic wheel bushings and the crazy long deck belt and complicated routing pattern can cause issues if not meticulously maintained.

Possible transmission belt stretch -or belt slipping from worn belt tension coil spring.

Hey check your transmission drive pulley it's a splined type and also it's made of aluminum those wallow out it probably is nothing wrong with your transmission just change that pulley on the top under the fan
