Todays era is insane. Not playing defense and having a 3 point contest up and down the floor is NOT SKILL.

The crazy thing about todays nba is that these fans and players forget about defense when it comes to talking about skill.

How can this era be the best when players are always sitting out for bs reasons?

Today's NBA is soft and the players are more concerned about stats than winning..post game and post scoring is almost gone..no more great centers and wayy to many 3pt shots being taken..sad but true..TV ratings are in the toilet and I do not see it getting better..sad.

i heard rob parker mention it and i like his idea, nba should adapt the baseball injury process and do 10 day DL 30 day DL 60 day DL or whatever they come up with. That will make sure guys cant pick and choose what games they will play in and if theyre actually injured they get plenty of time to heal up and get back to playing when they should be playing.

I totally agree... If the stars don't play then fans will lose interest and if that happens then the whole product of the NBA becomes less valuable, which means lower paying contracts for the players. So if players want to keep those nice big contracts well it would be smart to keep the fans happy when possible.

Players (Not all) care more about cashing that check, winning championships is just a bonus.

Remove guaranteed contracts and see if they start acting up like my back hurts the next day of playing from back to back games.

Thank you for calling this out I truly appreciate this. It's a load of crap it's sad that. The NBA will not grow anywhere near the NFL because of this

I agree! I went to the clippers game when Kyrie made his debut. I was bummed out that Luka didn’t play.

I know Luka is a real one that really wants to hoop, so it’s not his fault, but never the less it was disappointing. I can’t imagine paying for great seats and come to find out, the player you went to watch is sitting out for “load management.”

Not only does lifting weights strengthen bones, but it also preserves bone density. Your bones get brittle the older you get, and lifting weights and exercising your lower extremities with weights can save you a lot of agony when you're older. Cardio is great for your heart and circulation, but you need weights to take care of your body.

This Era, in just about EVERY aspect of life, IS SOFT, entitled, and dishonorable. It's just what it is.

That's how I feel about Kyrie....He doesn't want to work!

I just happened to be listening to the All the Smoke interview with Charles Barkley and all the way at the end of the interview in the 'quick hitters' section, they ask him his top 5 - what was interesting to me was that he STILL ranks Kobe ahead of Lebron(he has Kobe #6 and Lebron #7). I guess the older you are the more NBA you have seen with your own eyes, you have a deeper perspective.

I wonder if sometimes, because the emphasis has been so heavily placed on the post season and championships by the media that the players tend not to focus on the regular season. One of the worst things to happen in recent memory was Kawhi winning in Toronto; because the ends (championship) justified the means (load management)

The NBA should be figuring out why players are getting hurt often. If what MJ's former trainer says players are not lifting weight and just using bands. that is not good. The probably need to look into that.

Thinking that load management is bad for the league/fans etc. and that NBA players play too many games in a season aren't mutually exclusive.

You have to start effecting the owners pockets. They have the last say in what they are going to do with the players when it comes to sitting them out.
