Greece ● Road to Victory - EURO 2004

One of the most unexpected European Championship winner ever. Greece won it in 2004 and they were not even considered as an outsider. They did the unbelievable and won EURO 2004 by beating some of the best countries at that time. In this video you will see the road to the final. It's still unbelievable that a country like Greece could win it. But in football magical things like this happen once in a while and that's what makes football so great.

As a Türk, ı remember the day when Greece won the cup . I was on tears because of happiness. During All tournament I supported Greece as my country 🇬🇷 .

In 2004 as the Euros were going on, I was dating a girl who I was really into. I don't normally get like that but with this particular woman I knew she was the one.

Anyway, midway through the tournament she dropped a bomb on me and said she was having doubts and not sure if we were right for each other. I was up against it.

By the time Greece got to the final I'd made up my mind that their amazing run to the final in against unprecedented way was like me having that situation.

If Greece could win Euro 2004 then surely I could make this woman change her mind.

When Greece best Portugal in the final I used them as the inspiration to not give up.

A week or so later my efforts paid off.

It's 2022, we've been married since 2005 and have 5 children.

It was good times when Turkey played the semi-finals in the world cup in 2002, and Greece won the European championship in 2004.
Now both countries are far from their good old days.
As a Turk, i wish both Turkey and Greece to return to these days in the near future. Respect neighbor.
