Όπως αναφέρουν δημοσιεύματα σε ξένα μέσα ενημέρωσης, η Αμερικανική κεντρική διοίκηση ανακοίνωσε, ότι δύο ρουκέτες έπληξαν τη στρατιωτική βάση στο Al Shaddadi, που βρίσκεται 100 χλμ από τα σύνορα Συρίας - Τουρκίας, χωρίς ωστόσο να προκαλέσουν θύματα ή ζημιές.
Δυνάμεις Κούρδων τoυ SDF, που έφτασαν στην περιοχή κατάφεραν να ανακαλύψουν ακόμα μια ρουκέτα που δεν είχε εκραγεί.
"Οι επιθέσεις αυτού του είδους θέτουν τις δυνάμεις του συνασπισμού και τον άμαχο πληθυσμό σε κίνδυνο και υπονομεύουν τη σταθερότητα και την ασφάλεια της Συρίας και της περιοχής, που αποκτήθηκε με κόπο."
δήλωσε ο συνταγματάρχης Τζο Μπουτσίνο, εκπρόσωπος της CENTCOM.
Aν και δεν αναφέρεται πουθενά, το ποιοι είναι δράστες, τα δημοσιεύματα επικεντρώνονται στην επίθεση που έχει εξαπολύσει η Τουρκία, εναντίον των Κούρδων, υπονοώντας έτσι, ότι μάλλον προέρχονται από φιλοτουρκικές δυνάμεις που δρουν στη βόρεια Συρία.
Αυτό που αναμένεται τώρα να δούμε, είναι αν η Αμερικανική διοίκηση πιέσει τον Τούρκο πρόεδρο Ταγίπ Ερντογάν, ώστε να βάλει ένα τέλος στις επιθέσεις του τουρκικού στρατού στη Συρία, που δημιουργούν τεράστιο πρόβλημα ασφάλειας ή θα επιτρέψει να διακινδυνεύουν οι άνδρες των Αμερικανικών δυνάμεων, από τα τουρκικά και φιλοτουρκικά πυρά.

According to reports in foreign media, CENTCOM announced that two rockets hit the military base in Al Shaddadi, located 100 km from the Syrian-Turkish border, without causing any casualties or damage.
Kurdish forces of SDF, who arrived in the area, managed to discover one more rocket that had not exploded.
"Attacks of this kind place coalition forces and the civilian populace at risk and undermine the hard-earned stability and security of Syria and the region," said Col. Joe Buccino, CENTCOM spokesman.
Although it is not mentioned anywhere, who are the perpetrators, the reports focus on the attack launched by Turkey against the Kurds, thus implying that they probably come from pro-Turkish forces operating in northern Syria.
What we are now waiting to see is whether the US administration will pressure Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan to put an end to the Turkish military's attacks in Syria, which are creating a huge security problem, or will allow the men of the US forces to be put at risk by the Turkish and pro-Turkish fire.
