Welcome to the Shigeru family!! You are going to LOVE your new piano (as I am sure you already do right now). You should let us know when the technician from Japan arrives to regulate and add the finishing touches to your instrument. When I got my Shigeru, I “think” my technician’s name was Mr. Otake if I remember correctly (...it has been some years back...I have an old card somewhere...). His service was amazing! Be sure to tell your technician exactly what type of sound texture you want from your instrument and you will get it. You are in for a treat!!!! I am truly excited for you!

Congrats! I was touched by your emotional goodbye to the instrument you've spent so much time with. That's the nice thing about guitars- when you buy a new instrument, you can usually keep the old one!

I am not the one getting a new piano but I don't know why I am so happy that I am crying. It is like you have 'graduated' from Samick and now the new piano will accompany you in another chapter of your career to create more memories together.

I helped a co-worker and friend pick out a Kawaii baby grand for their home. They were getting ready for their oldest daughter to start piano lessons. I have been fascinated by the sound of the Kawaii piano ever since. My friend and his family moved to Atlanta many years ago. I have often wondered if all three daughters took piano lessons and what happened to that gorgeous piano.
