You do great work David. I recently applied to be on the environmental and conservation board of my town, I didn't get it because I applied at the last minute and these things aren't advertised very well. I'm not going to give up though, I live in an extremely red state in a very blue county, but most of the elected officials in the state are deplorable, attempting to introduce laws to make flag burning illegal, literally body slamming journalists, selling out our public lands, ignoring the large indigenous population and issues that the reservations have faced for so many years and being generally terrible about covid, it feels harder and harder to engage politically, during the BLM protests last summer there were protests in front of the courthouse but they were quickly overtaken by trump supporters and armed militia's from smaller rural communities out of town, I'd love to hear your advice or thoughts if you end up reading this.

I went last august. Dam it is hot. My kid passed out on the bus. They stopped the bus and the cubans brought him water and surrounded him. They called me a taxi.

David, I’m sorry but the fact that you admit these protests are happening because of the restored embargo shows precisely that the embargo policy is working. It is causing mayhem in Cuba at a critical point of transition for the Communist regime from Raul Castro to a new leadership, and it’s possible this could end with the regime’s fall, military action or no.

As for why there is no embargo against Saudi Arabia, it’s very simple: they are Classicalist/non-Communist and are not sworn enemies of America. They our “our own sons of bitches” to use a term first used to describe I believe Suharto. Geopolitics is a zero sum game
