Imagine: reversing in pitlane for 3 meters was not allowed but you can go straight in the pitlane full throttle in those years

I love how Pedro accepts the blame instead of making an excuse.

Senna immediately going to his apt. in Monaco reminds me of Kimi when he did something similar, but this time, his yacht

Have to admit, I miss Maldonado. He always made sure a race stayed interesting even on the most boring tracks.

"Reversing in the pitlane is strictly forbidden on safety grounds"
Meanwhile, the Ferrari mechanics are just standing around in shorts.

Maldonado’s entire career was a lapse in concentration, except for 1 afternoon in Barcelona…

can’t believe Ham’s magic button incident isn’t in the list. It’s silly unforced error by a experienced driver like him

Can we take just a moment to consider how monumental/mind blowing it was for Senna to have taken pole by 1.4 seconds over the next car, driven by a teammate and another 4 time world champion. That is beyond special!

Fun fact: Grosjean’s engineer said “I think Ericsson hit us” not Grosjean himself.

F1 back in the day:
"You cannot reverse. It spells danger."
"You don't have to wear helmet and come to pits with t shirt."

The one missing: Hamilton's colossal error at the entrance of the pit lane on the Chinese GP 2007... it arguably costed him the championship that year

As they explain at 11:05 that "two unforced errors almost cost" Hakkinens Championship I was sure they build up for the moment where Hamilton threw away his Championship by beaching in the pits in China 2007. It is basically the same mistake which earns DC a spot in this list, but the cost is even more dramatic: not just losing a race but the whole Championship. Weird to not see this incident on number 1.

Hamilton “brake magic” brain fade at Baku seems far more consequential than some of these practice failures.

Mansell's showboating at Canada 1991 then stalling on the last lap will always be my favourite, and I say that as a big Mansell fan

Senna: walks back to his apartment
Kimi: walks back to his yacht

7:08 Murray Walker gasped so hard when DC crashed into the barrier as if DC crashed into him, showed how passionate Murray was for the sport. 🥺

Also, Hamilton headbutting Räikkönen in Canada 2008 in the pits.

I think Mansell's unintended switching off the car while heading towards a victory on the last lap should be included here. He was absoultely sure he was going to win and started waving at the crowds before crossing the line. When moving his hand out of the cockpit he hit a switch in te car and the engine died. In combination with other mishaps that year, it cost him the title.
