i love this player. i have one for my house and i bought one for my mom for her house. she love hers too. best region free player i ever owned. it plays all region blurays and dvds. i have a bunch of dvd that are region 4 and region 2. i think i might have some dvds that are region 3 too. i have starting to collect blurays that are other regions. i can watch anything. im a fan of international films. i have many tv show complete series box sets that are in other regions on dvd. i had other players but thery were not region free after all. even thought they said they were.

I just got one of the same model but it won't play my region 2 dvds. I've tried the instructions it came with and trying to change the area code. Does anyone know how to fix that?

Will this BDP player play a PAL AND an NTSC DVD ? And, will it play all regions of DVD's (0 - 8) ? I've seen it where the number it goes upbto is only "6". Also, which code is the BLU RAY player - A, B, and/or C ? Is it a multi format player ? Thank you for answering if you can. Such useful info in thus video. 👍

i use a sony BDP-S3500 and the only real annoyance i've run into is while i was watching the droopy theatrical collection, with every new screen that would appear, this weird interface would cover the bottom half of the screen, this was the only DVD that ever did this kind of thing to me, so i emailed sony and they pretty much told me how to disable the onscreen interface, so yeah it's a little annoying that if i'm skipping through scenes, i can't see that i'm on scene 5/20 or something like that, but other than that i'm completely satisfied with it

I'm seeing this a year later, as I just got this exact player yesterday, and it didn't come with instructions, so YouTube I go! That Hellraiser set is the reason I wanted a Region Free Player. How do you like it a year later?

Did you do if you jailbreak a ps3 you can use it as a region free blu ray player and its a sony blu ray player so you know its high quality

I have a Sony bdp S3700 region free blu ray player
I'm in Australia and can play all the Scream Factory region A discs including Halloween 6 producers cut!

Hopefully there is no life span on this thing, I had a samsung with 3d compatibility wirked great until 6 months ago it stopped reading blu ray discs and after an online search i found the samsung palyers have 2 years life span, sony has 5 years, which means this was a modified blu ray palyer that unfortunately has limited time to paly and then it will stop reading blu ray discs, I hope this is not the case with LG.
