Chronicle (2012) - Ending Scene (HD)

Some time later, Matt lands in Tibet with Andrews camera. Speaking to the camera while addressing Andrew, apologizing for killing Andrew but he had no other choice. He tells his cousin that he loves him, and he now vows to use his powers for good and to find out what happened to them in the hole. Matt positions the camera to view a Tibetan monastery in the distance and says "You made it." Before flying away, he says goodbye to "Andrew," leaving the camera behind to continue recording the tranquil scene.

Felt bad for Matt, he lost 2 of his best friends. He had to kill Andrew because Andrew was gonna kill everyone with the power, he had no choice. But I'm glad he's gonna use his powers for good

God, I wish we had a sequel. It would’ve been so great to see what Matt was doing after the events of Andrew’s death.

I’m kinda glad we didn’t get a sequel to this masterpiece of a film, they’d just find a way to fuck it up, I think the movie is fine without a sequel

tbh, as much as i would want a sequel i feel like this film should just be left alone. i feel like telekenisis was actually more of a small part of the film and it’s actually the story of how “great power comes great responsibility”. it was a tragic story and more of a reality than a fantasy. honestly if we got a sequel, we probably wouldn’t like the answers we were looking for. like, what was once a story of how an abused teen turned evil is going to turn into a story about aliens or time travel.

It's kinda heartbreaking seeing him all alone, both his friends dead. Imagine a close friend of yours accidentally killing another one of your close friends and then you having to kill that close friend of yours because he's turning to the Dark Side. That's deep...

*And that's when I realize, I was watching a superhero origin story the entire time. And such a heartbreaking one.* Man I love this movie so much. 😭💔

When you realize that this is the last piece of legacy Matt has of him and his friends. You can already realize how screwed Matt's life is. He is on the run from the government. He can never see his family again. He can never fall in love again. He can never have a family (otherwise his children could inherit his powers which would ruin their lives as well and would end up like Andrew). He's all alone and you can tell he is ok with dying. He realizes how dangerous he is and what he's capable of.

I love how Matt is the last one left because all the focus was on Andrew and Steve was the only other guy who was practicing his powers and Matt didn't want anything to do with the powers in the first place keeping them hidden but at the end, he's all that's left and he's going to do everything for both Andrew and Steve and to helping other people

I love that scene, 0:15. The blue ocean and sounds of waves and seagulls after all the chaos and traumatic experiences.

That moment when you realize that the stuff on Matt's back isn't mountain climbing gear. That's all of the stuff he's using to survive now that he's running from the government.

You could argue that all the different footages that were filmed other than by Andrew’s camera were pieced together by Matt. Like a send-off. Grabbing everything he could that depicted the chains of events that is Andrew’s downfall as a way to honour his “memory”. To show that he did the things he did towards the final moments of his life as something that was brought upon him. To show that his final moments weren't him and that they are the years of abuse he suffered and it shows from this final scene. Matt looks regretful that he wasn't there for Matt. It's a great movie and I wanted to share this thought because I thought it would make more sense on why this was pieced the way it was.

The fact the sequel was cancelled and by reading the script it would’ve been a great movie indeed dammit it should be picked up by Netflix or something we need the sequel
