I used to work with raptors in a rehab facility. By far the bird with most personality was our harris hawk. He was always active and always watching you. He didnt get along with everyone there but he always loved to see me. He would jump on my shoulder and chill and he would try and chase me down when I was leaving his enclosure. When I handled him would start flapping his wings agressively when I stopped petting him. Sadly he is a permanent resident because he was born in captivity and imprinted on by humans. He was bred for falconry but was abondoned when it was seen that he would be too small to hunt larger prey. He became an educational bird because of this. I mis that bird, what an amazing animal.

We have Harris' Hawks where I work in west Texas. I've seen as many as five hunting in a group, although two or three is more common. Beautiful animals.
