I started Circe a week ago but put it down because I immediately realize the summer atmosphere was way more present than I expected.. I want to read it more in the midst of summer!! perfect suggestion

I think Hot Milk by Deborah Levy is a perfect summer read! Its a relatively short book, set in Spain with a hazy summery atmosphere...

Glad to see two of my favorite books of all time on this list, that is, Call Me By Your Name and The Great Gatsby 💙 Glad too for hearing I’m not the only one who likes 2013 Great Gatsby adaption 😂 Guess Midnight Summer Dream by Shakespeare would be a perfect choice for summer too 🧡

If you liked Call Me By Your Name I definitely highly recommend The Boy in the Rain by Stephanie Cowell!!! It’s a love story between a young art student (Robbie) who meets twenty-nine-year-old (Anton) who runs away from his failed marriage and brutal childhood. And within months of them growing closer they begin a love affair that lasts for years. And overtime Robbie grows into an accomplished portraitist in London while Anton becomes a politician with his inherited wealth be connections to improve the conditions for the poor. But to preface that it is set in the Edwardian era were obv being queer was considered a crime. But it’s such a beautiful love story. For a book created by a woman but it’s about two men falling in love, it felt well done and she cared a lot about representing this best way she possible could. But once again beautifully written but a deeply sad book. So I think you should definitely check this out at some point Katerina!

I love The Great Gatsby.... it absolutely feels like the perfect summer read (and I loved the movie adaptation too) I've heard a few people talk about The Housekeeper and the Professor... I have it on my list to pick up one fine day

Richard doesn’t go on “vacation”, he travels. He discovered early on that travel is the cure to almost any problem. For example, when his girlfriend back home dumps him for some other guy, he borrows money and hopes on a plane to a different country. Once there, not only is the pain of the breakup gone, but he also quickly forgets about the girl.
