Traumatic experiences can often leave the individuals feeling isolated. After experiencing multiple traumatic life events, activist, Nadia Khansa, found a cathartic therapy in creating art. Now, through her project 'Letters From Women of the World' she invites other women to channel their experience into art and find community with one another.

Nadia Khansa is a Lebanese-American college senior at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette majoring in psychology with a minor in English. She is involved in AmeriCorps, her University's chapter of V-Day, a global-movement to end violence against women and girls, and she actively works for the advancement of women and minorities in society.

This is an incredibly brave talk! Thank you for being a lighthouse and giving voice to so many who are afraid to tell their story. Art is such a powerful medium for healing. You are a powerful presence, and I am grateful for all you shared.
