You definitely need Gus Mitchell on a live. I wish he still made content, definitely one of the best out there.

Old beekeeper here from the70s, 80s& early 90s, there was an author Richard Taylor, I really enjoyed his articles and his books on bees, I’m getting back into bees, I really missed working with bees

This is how the old guys did the split. After 5 days you open the hive without the queen and take out every queen cell that is capped or close to.. and leave only a couple of big open ones where you can see a lot of jelly in. That way you're sure they started from an egg and not from an old larva

Hey Kamon,

Always enjoy your videos. Hope to meet you someday. FYI, Hillco makes an extractor for Layens and you can also buy an additional reel for it that will spin medium Langs for about $100 more.

Few people did SAERS funded studies on splits. ALWAYS move the queen and leave a medium strength split behind. Foragers will regress to feed if needed. No difference in queen using cell, virgin or walk away.

I hate that I missed the live stream and Cory being on 😢. Glad to have the live streams back! You, Cory, Bob and Gus are my favorites, maybe we can have Gus come on as a guest?

Consider Keith Jardine as a speaker for next years Bee Expo, he’s managed exclusively with the demaree method for 40+ years. 100 hives, Scottish (I think) and very entertaining speaker. Give attendees something new to consider
